ECS Final Exam (Listening & Responding Essay-40%)

The essay must consist of:-

1. Introduction
-the overview (the bibliography),
-the purpose (to inform/to persuade?)
-the thesis statement of the speech (what do you think of the speech& the 3 key areas covered in the developing paragraphs)


2. The Developing Paragraphs (three)
-responding to the speech by looking at the key areas (Content & Organisation, Non-verbal Communication, Use of Voice & Using Audio Visual Aids-choose 3 key areas)
-responses can be either positive or negative
-please write responses in three organised paragraphs (a paragraph for each key area)

(please refer to the handouts given prior to your persuasive speech presentation for more on presentation skills)


3. The conclusion
-a brief paragraph stating your thesis statement (what do you think of the speech)
-give some constructive suggestions on how to improve the speech
